Terms of Use

The service

Massed provides tools for reading kitchen scale photos, identifying food, calculating before/after weight differences, and saving food weight logs. The app is designed to make macro and food tracking faster, but you remain responsible for checking that any result is reasonable for your use.

Accounts

Some features require you to sign in. You are responsible for keeping your account access secure and for all activity under your account. If you believe your account has been used without permission, contact us promptly.

Photos, food data, and AI results

You are responsible for the photos and information you submit to Massed. You grant us the limited right to process photos, prompts, corrections, and related information as needed to provide the app, including sending photos to AI analysis providers. Do not upload anything you do not have the right to use or anything you are not comfortable sending for analysis.

AI analysis can be delayed, incomplete, or wrong. Scale displays can be blurry, obstructed, or misread, and food identification may be incorrect. You agree to review and correct results before relying on them.

Not medical or nutrition advice

Massed is a tracking utility. It does not provide medical, nutrition, diet, allergy, or health advice. Food names, weights, and calculations are informational only. Consult a qualified professional for health, medical, nutrition, or dietary decisions.

Subscriptions, quotas, and billing

Massed may offer free analysis quotas and paid Pro subscriptions. Free quotas, subscriber quotas, included features, prices, trial availability, and limits may change over time. Subscriptions are managed through third-party subscription and app marketplace services. The app marketplace or payment provider handles payment processing, cancellation, renewal, refund requests, and payment details.

Deleting the app or deleting local data does not automatically cancel a subscription. You must manage or cancel subscriptions through your app marketplace account settings. If a subscription expires, is cancelled, cannot be verified, or payment fails, paid features may stop working.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse Massed or interfere with the service. For example, you may not:

• attempt to bypass scan quotas, rate limits, subscriptions, or access controls;
• reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or disrupt the app or backend services;
• upload illegal, harmful, infringing, or abusive content;
• use Massed to violate another person's rights or privacy;
• use the service for regulated medical, emergency, or safety-critical decisions.

Third-party services

Massed depends on third-party services for app distribution, authentication, subscriptions, hosting, analytics, quota enforcement, and AI analysis. These services may have their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.

Availability and changes

Massed is provided as an evolving product. We may update, suspend, limit, or discontinue any part of the app at any time. AI analysis, sign-in, subscriptions, hosting, and other features may be unavailable or delayed because of maintenance, network issues, provider outages, or other reasons.

Intellectual property

Massed, including its name, design, software, text, graphics, and other materials, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These terms do not transfer ownership of Massed to you. You may use the app only as permitted by these terms.

Disclaimer

Massed is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that Massed will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that AI results will be accurate.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Massed and its owners, operators, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, health-related decisions, subscription issues handled by app stores, or reliance on inaccurate readings.

Termination

You may stop using Massed at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms, misuse the service, create risk for other users or providers, or if we need to protect the app.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date or other appropriate notice. Continuing to use Massed after changes become effective means you accept the updated terms.

App marketplace terms

If you download Massed from an app marketplace, your use of the app may also be subject to that marketplace's applicable terms. The app marketplace is not responsible for providing maintenance or support for Massed unless its terms require otherwise.
